KOTC was created by Gabe Nunez, co-founder and CEO of Tempest Freerunning, to be the ultimate proving ground, where the best athletes on the planet can showcase their talent on a stage as dynamic and relentless as the sport itself. Kings of the Concrete brings the world’s best freerunners together for the most raw and cut-throat competition in action sports today. Top athletes battle it out head-to-head in a bracket-style contest to find out who will be crowned King & Queen of the Concrete and win the largest cash prize in the sport.
HISTORY OF KOTC
Originally a successful Instagram contest that matched athletes in head-to-head battles, KOTC has evolved and is rapidly growing in popularity to become one of the most respected and anticipated freerunning competitions in the world. With over 25 online contests, multiple live qualifiers, and two World Championship events under our belt, KOTC Onlines & Championship events have quickly gained recognition as the sport's most intense and competitive series. This year we’ve taken it to the next level by launching the first ever KOTC World Series.
